High pressure washer: good alternative for certain occasions

When the broom and bucket of water can no longer help, the washer, which saves 80% compared to common hoses, is a solution

Washing the sidewalk, the car or the windows of the house with a hose is a very bad practice. If the hose has no flow control, even worse. But even models that contain this part waste a lot of water in the cleaning process.

Sweeping, using a bucket of water and wiping with a damp cloth are some more environmentally friendly options, but for certain very demanding jobs, such as cleaning large areas, parking lots, patios, among others, more efficient equipment is needed. A good choice is the pressure washer, also known as a pressure washer.

Its competence in delivering a consistent and strong water jet raises doubts regarding its sustainability with many wondering if an appliance like the pressure washer uses a lot of water and its environmental impact. However, the main advantage of this type of appliance is water savings: around 80% compared to a common hose, equivalent to a reduction of approximately 140 liters per hour of use. The flow depends on the device, but it is, on average, only five liters per minute. That's because the electric motor inside pressurizes the water jet, pushing the drops with more force, however, with less amount of liquid.

When choosing the model, choose one that has to do with your reality. There are very powerful machines, which may not be worth purchasing, as they would be underutilized in a home or condominium. Appliances ranging in power between 1250 and 1600 pounds are ideal for these environments.

Prices vary, but most models sell for around R$250. If you feel embarrassed every time your neighbor washes the sidewalk, it's a good idea to give him this gift! And remember: even with the water savings that the product provides, use it sparingly.
