11 tips to make your bedroom a more pleasant place
Do you love your room? Find out how to make it even better
The bedroom is often a person's most intimate environment; resting place, refuge, leisure, sharing special moments with special people. "My bedroom, my private space."
Because it is so significant, it is interesting that it receives special attention from those who inhabit it so that it becomes more and more pleasant. Check out some tips on how to make your room more pleasant:
- Open the curtains, let the sun in. This prevents the growth of mold and fungus.
- Clean pillows regularly.
- Put your pillows and bedding out to sunbathe from time to time.
- Electronic devices such as television, computer and cell phone stimulate brain activity; it is inadvisable to have them in the bedroom. If you can't let go of them, try to at least turn them off at least an hour before bedtime.
- Avoid bringing food and drink into this room. Food remains cause the proliferation of insects.
- Avoid paints that have volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemicals that evaporate easily at room temperature and can cause health problems.
- Opt for soft lighting and light-colored furniture and walls, preferably in pastel shades. This makes your bedroom more cozy and helps give you a more peaceful sleep.
- Before bed, organize the environment: the place for dirty clothes is not on the floor and shoes do not need to be scattered around the room.
- Set yourself the routine of cleaning your room once a week.
- Making your bed every day when you get up can be boring, but a well-made bed gives a room another look. One way to make storage easier is to use sheets with elastic.
- Cabinets and drawers also need to be tidied up from time to time. And let go of what you no longer use, recycling whenever possible.
