Course in São Paulo teaches how to develop photos on the sheets with antitype

The workshop aims to teach participants how to print photographic copies using leaves and pigments extracted from vegetables. Two techniques of artisanal photographic development will be presented: the antotype and the phytotype.
Anthotypy is a technique that uses natural pigments extracted from flowers, fruits, vegetables and other parts of plants to make a photographic copy. Phytotype is the process that uses the plants' own leaves as support for the developments.

- Brief history of the processes;

- Show of works;
- Preparation of emulsions, observation and harvesting of leaves;
- Production of photographs and prints on paper and plant leaves;
- Practical activity.
Dani Sandrini
Graduated in communication from ECA-USP, since 1998 she works with photography, both commercially and as a tool in recreational and educational proposals. In 2009 she began to dedicate herself to her authorship projects in photography, working between Brazil and Jordan, where she was awarded in 2014.From 2013 onwards, he added psychoanalysis studies and therapeutic follow-up to the knowledge of art and education, carrying out works linking image and mental health. It promotes courses and artistic interventions in schools, museums and cultural centers.
