Eight different uses for toothpaste

In addition to making our teeth whiter, cream can also be useful for general cleaning.

brush and toothpaste

Toothpaste is an element that is always present in our daily lives and is only used, basically, to reduce bacterial concentration that harms oral health. Have you ever imagined being able to use it as a cleaning product? And best of all, as a non-toxic cleaning product!

It can be used to clean porcelain, silverware, jewelry and even the stove. For these cleaning procedures, it is necessary to use conventional toothpaste, which has calcium and carbon, unless, for a specific cleaning, the use of gel toothpaste is required. Basically, you need a tube of toothpaste and a dry flannel; just apply a little toothpaste to the dry flannel and start cleaning.

But toothpaste goes much further. Check out other cool tips that involve its use:

1. Decrease itching and swelling caused by insect bites

Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the bite area.

2. Decrease the burning sensation of the burn

If it is not an open wound, you can gently apply toothpaste to the affected area.

3. Clean nails

For clean nails, simply apply a small amount of toothpaste to each nail and scrub them with a soft-bristled brush.

4. Eliminate bad odors from the skin

Odors such as fish, garlic, onions or anything else that permeate the skin cells can be removed by rubbing a little toothpaste on your hands and fingers.

5. Remove stains from clothes and rugs

For clothing, apply toothpaste directly to the stain and rub vigorously until the stain disappears, then wash as usual. For carpet stains, apply toothpaste to the stain and scrub with an abrasive brush, then wash off immediately. Note: The application of toothpaste on colored pieces can cause the fabric to whiten.

6. Remove pencil scribbles on walls

On a damp cloth, apply the toothpaste and rub it gently into the area.

7. Remove scratches on CDs and DVDs

Apply a thin layer of toothpaste to the disc and rub gently. Then clean carefully, removing toothpaste residue.

8. Eliminate burnt residues on the iron

The silica in toothpaste “erodes” the rusty-looking layer of the iron.
