What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a chronic and rheumatologic disease that causes widespread pain throughout the body, being able to make the person unwilling to do any activity, even the simple act of sleeping, as the pain becomes unbearable.
Causes
The causes of fibromyalgia can be genetic factors, sedentary lifestyle, post-traumatic stress disorder, some viral infections and autoimmune diseases. People who are more likely to have fibromyalgia are those who already have family members with the disease or who already have rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus erythematosus.
Fibromyalgia Symptoms
Fibromyalgia symptoms usually begin to show up after surgery, physical trauma, significant psychological stress, or an infection. In other cases, symptoms accumulate over time without being able to determine the cause. See the list of fibromyalgia symptoms:
