Dog finds petrified whale vomit, worth over R$300,000

A gemstone can be found in unusual places and does not always look as expected.

If you've ever found money in an old jacket in your life, you know what a joy it is. It doesn't have to be a lot, just a few coins in the back of the drawer or a note in the pocket of some item of clothing that has just come out of the washing machine. Some of the luckiest find it on the sidewalk and some even luckier find it in the sand on the beach. That's what happened to Ken Wilma, when he was walking his dog on the beach in Morecambe, UK.

Most dogs are looking for bones or something to eat, but this gentleman's dog managed to find something even more interesting. The animal smelled something and I start to dig. After a while, he found a strange stone. Apparently it was just another small rock brought in from the sea and it shouldn't have any value, but this one in particular was made from a very valuable substance.

During your walk, you had found a substance used in perfumes worth £100,000 (equivalent to around R$304 thousand). Curious to know what this stone was made of? Nothing more and nothing less than sperm whale vomit. In other words, with a material that would probably go unnoticed by the entire population that frequents the beach, Ken Wilma made a lot of money.
