Animals can help with organic waste
Responsible for earthworm technology says that meat can be eaten by animals so that they are not disposed of in the common garbage
Home composting, as eCycle has already shown (see article and interview), is an excellent solution for transforming organic waste into humus. Composters or earthworms, products that have been disseminated on the market in recent months, cause residues such as husks, fruits, vegetables, vegetables, seeds, coffee grounds, leftovers from cooked or spoiled foods (no exaggerations) and eggshells not they end up in dumps unnecessarily, causing environmental problems. However, a question that remains is: what to do with leftover meat? See more about composting in our Guide.
According to Cesar Danna, from the website of solutions for organic waste Minhocasa, one of those responsible for bringing the composter technology to Brazil, no type of meat can be placed in the composter. There is the possibility of a chemical imbalance, which would cause a bad smell and composting will not be effective.
Danna provides an unusual solution for food scraps that cannot enter the earthworm, such as meat, fish and chicken. “The recommendation for those who have a dog at home is to send them this waste or part of it. If we go back a few years ago, when ready-to-eat feed did not exist, our domestic animals ate our leftovers and lived healthy and active, right?”, he says.
However, be careful to separate the meat from the bone, as depending on the bone, it can be harmful to the animal when ingested. Some spices should also be avoided in animal food, as they can harm the animals. Learn more in the articles:

If you do not want to give this type of food to your animal or if you simply do not have a pet, the solution is to dispose of the organic waste part of the selective collection.
