Toronto advertising campaign uses "garbage against garbage"

Advertising campaign in the city of Toronto, Canada, uses the garbage itself to make people aware not to litter the streets

In any city in the world, it is easy to find garbage strewn around the streets. There are plastic bags, cans, bottles, newspapers and so on. That garbage gets dirty is obvious, but it also contributes to several other problems, such as visual pollution and clogging of manholes.

To make the population aware not to litter the streets, Canada was home to the project Live Green Toronto (Viva Verde Toronto) who created a brilliant advertising campaign from the garbage scattered on the streets of one of the largest cities in the country. In it, packages of industrialized products that are very common in the streets were photographed together, joining syllables from different titles and slogans that formed words critical to the lack of respect of those who discarded the garbage incorrectly. Unfortunately, the companies of the products used for the campaign didn't like having their brands linked to the negative side, so the campaign was removed.
