Porcelain tile is a very resistant and versatile type of ceramic tile, which is gaining more and more space in decoration projects. It is resistant and versatile, as there are porcelain tiles that look like tiles, stones and even some that imitate wood. One of the great advantages of the material is that it is easy to clean, although it also gets dirty easily - especially if we are talking about an enameled porcelain tile, those that shine a lot when cleaned, but are easily fogged up. But it is not difficult to clean tarnished porcelain tile. Check out some tricks!

How to clean tarnished porcelain tile?

Both the so-called technical porcelain, a more opaque model, and the enameled porcelain are easy to maintain, requiring only simple care with regard to cleaning. Initially, when cleaning porcelain tile, use a soft-bristled broom or vacuum cleaner to remove larger debris and accumulated dust.

Then mix a few scoops of detergent (this can be the homemade model) or natural soap in a bucket of water. Use a mop or soft cloth to dampen and clean the tarnished porcelain tile. When finished, dry the floor with a clean soft cloth.

If your porcelain tile is cloudy due to stubborn dirt, you can use a small amount of bleach to clean the tile - always observing the recommended dilution ratios on the packaging. Another option is to use bicarbonate mousse paste, a homemade cleaning product that removes heavier stains and dirt.

Be careful with products that contain hydrofluoric acid. This acid can irreversibly attack the porcelain tile surface and make the tarnished tile permanent, which would not be pleasant.
