Vinegar neutralizes odors and disinfects surfaces (learn more about it in the article: "Vinegar: an unusual ally for cleaning the house"). Check out how to clean a sofa with vinegar:

Step 1

Before cleaning the sofa with vinegar, vacuum all the furniture to remove debris and other larger residues. Clean all cracks and holes so that no food or dirt remains in the deeper areas.

Step 2

If the sofa is soiled with liquid materials, use paper towels to soak up the contents before applying the vinegar . Avoid rubbing the wet stains so as not to spread the dirt over the upholstery, just remove it with paper.

Step 3

Fill a spray bottle with some white vinegar and fill the rest of the jar with cold water.

Step 4

Spray the entire sofa with vinegar and let it dry. Repeat the process a few times until at least the smell is gone.

Step 5

Moisten a cloth with white vinegar and wipe over the stains on the sofa. Allow area to dry and repeat until odor is removed.

If the smell of vinegar is unpleasant to you, don't worry, it evaporates quickly. But, in any case, you can apply a few drops of essential oils of your choice to perfume.

when there's no way

The sofa, due to its size and characteristics, is always a problem when we try to reorganize spaces. You can't just put it in the corner or hide it anywhere. The truth is, when fabrics wear out, tear or fade, they turn to rubble in our homes and apartments. There are options for sofa disposal and renovation and recycling. But it all depends on the state of the object. If it is in good condition it is possible to donate it to charities rather than just discard it.

If your sofa has reached a state where the vinegar is not enough to recover it, nor is it possible to donate or repair it, take a conscious attitude: find collection and/or recycling stations in the search engine from the eCycle Portal and make the correct disposal.
