Beer is the favorite drink of many Brazilians, beer is dynamic because it is part of the taste of different types of connoisseurs, from those looking for perfection and balance in tastings, to those who simply enjoy drinking a cold beer with friends. But she can also help around the house in surprising ways. See below for other uses of beer:
What is beer for?
1. Serves to remove stains on clothes
Instead of using a chemical cleaning agent, let the beer work on the stain for a while and rub the piece lightly with a clean cloth. When the place is soaked, wash it well with soap and water. Due to the different natures of fabrics, it is recommended to do a small test on the material before pouring the beer.

2. Used to polish wooden furniture
With a soft cloth, rub the beer (without gas) gently on the furniture. The drink will help restore the furniture's color and shine without having to resort to strong chemicals.

3. Serves to clean gold jewelry
It's very simple: just put your jewelry in a container of beer. Leave them there for about ten minutes, then remove them, rinse them and use a dry cloth to polish.
4. For polishing copper pans
Using a cloth, carefully rub the beer into the pan. Let the pan sit for a while, rinse and dry with another soft cloth. The acid in beer works wonders on many metals. If there are no results, remember that pans can be recycled.

5. Serves to loosen rusty screws
It may sound strange, but the acids found in beer can dissolve enough rust to allow screws to be removed more easily.
6. Serves as a brick
We've seen glass bottles and PET models being used in house building (see "Bolivian Lawyer Makes PET Bottle Houses for Poor People" and "Thai Monks Build Religious Complex Out of Beer Bottles"). The idea is to use closed and full beer cans to build walls. Beer absorbs the cold and, due to the alcohol present, will not freeze in places with lower temperatures, maintaining a good temperature.
7. Serves to give hair volume
Hair without volume? The vitamin B and natural sugars in beer add volume and shine while increasing strength, vitality and firmness.
Store the beer in such a way as to leave it warm and without gas. Wash and rinse your hair normally, then apply the beer. Rinse with cold water.
8. Serves to put out a small fire
Do not fool yourself! If you find yourself in a situation with two cans of beer and a fire it's best to call the fire department. However, if it's a small outbreak of flames on paper or on the grill, using a beer can or bottle as a fire extinguisher can be a good decision. Due to the presence of water and pressure, you can shake the bottle or can and release the liquid into the fire.
- Attention: do not do this in case of electrical fire or oil fire.
9. Serve to marinate meat
The acidity of beer works as a great meat softener, as it is not as acidic as wine or vinegar. Use strong tasting beer, such as black or barley wine (in Portuguese, barley wine).
