Reducing the consumption of cleaning products is good for health and the environment. Among all of them, however, a technology that promises effective results and very low environmental impact as a cleaning agent is the use of ozone, a natural element and 3000 times stronger than chlorine in combating fungi, bacteria and viruses. Among other possibilities, due to its germicidal potency, it is capable of removing undesirable flavors and odors and even eliminating pesticide residues.
Lotus company has created a cleaning system that promises to turn your tap water into an effective ozone-based cleaning agent. The equipment applies an electric current to the water, generating ozone, which is a combination of three oxygen molecules. According to the manufacturer, ozone preserves its sanitizing characteristics for up to 15 minutes and can be used in all house cleaning procedures without any concern for the environment or for the health and safety of children and animals.
Ozone is used efficiently in the treatment of swimming pool water, in beauty clinics and in the cleaning of hotel rooms, circumstances in which it has been shown to be effective. Domestic use is still a challenge to be something, in addition to being ecologically correct, practical and cheap.
