Newspaper bag instead of plastic bags
Have you ever thought about replacing plastic bags with bags made of newspaper, when packing your garbage?
The practice of rejecting a plastic bag when shopping is increasingly widespread in Brazil. Ecobags and individual shopping carts contribute to this process. But when it comes to packing garbage, how to avoid the "addiction" of using such plastic bags?
A good alternative is newsprint origami. It can be used in the bathroom trash and for other dry trash in your house. Instead of using a bunch of bags, prefer the newspaper bag throughout the week. When taking the accumulated contents out of the house, only use a large garbage bag. There are cases of homes that compost organic waste, which makes it even easier to replace plastic bags with paper, since the wet waste is reduced to minimal levels.

1. Take a sheet of newspaper and mark the right half of the page, vertically. Then fold in the edge of the right page to the mark you made (ie, fold it a quarter of the right page). The result will be a square:
2. Join the upper left corner and the lower right corner together to form a triangle, but keep the base down:
3. Now fold the lower right edge of the triangle to the middle of the left sideline:
4. Turn the fold over to the other side and repeat item 3, placing the lower right edge on the left side fold:
6. Now you will have a pentagon. Take one end of the top and thread it into the horizontal flap. Turn the fold over and do the same thing on the other side:
7. The bag is ready! Just open it and put it in a bucket!
Paper breaks down much faster than plastic. Besides, you already have a useful destination for the newspaper that accumulates in your house or even in the ones of relatives and neighbors.
With the newspaper bag you no longer use plastic bags in most trash bins in your house. However, to store all the remaining waste, it is necessary to use large garbage bags. Our recommendation is to use plastic bags made from recycled raw material.
