Millennial: the mini house designed with creative solutions that maximize space

Stairs and even a closet on the floor make the internal space grow

Tiny House

The New Zealand company Build Tiny House created a very creative minihouse, called Millennial Tiny House. From the outside, it looks like other houses of its kind, but upon entering, the user notices interesting ideas for maximizing space, such as two stairs, a spacious kitchen and even a kind of closet on the floor.

The retractable aluminum ladder is perhaps the main highlight of the house - it takes the resident from the floor to the bedroom loft and is attached to a shelf of drawers, avoiding the need for a fixed ladder and facilitating the storage of objects.

The living room also has smart storage cabinets on the lower floor. There are glass doors facing each other, allowing ventilation and a strong connection between interiors and exteriors.

The kitchen has good storage facilities for food and utensils and is spacious. What may displease some is that part of the workbench is a step on a side staircase to the guest's office and bedroom.

In the office, there is a chair that uses the top of the kitchen cabinets as a footrest.

The bathroom is also well-designed, with enough space for a washer-dryer, linen storage, a shower and a compost toilet, allowing it to be moved outside the house when not in use.

The value of the mini-house varies from 59,750 New Zealand dollars (about R$133 thousand), in the simplest model, to 87.83 New Zealand dollars (about R$ 197,000), in the most complete option.

Minihouses are common in some countries in Europe, the United States and Oceania. Living in one of these usually provides environmental advantages, as the environmental footprint of such a house is usually smaller and, in order to live in them, individuals cannot be consumers.
