Mobile garden only needs to be watered every 15 days to produce food

Having your own organic food at home can be easier than you think

Mobile and smart vegetable garden brings practicality and economy

That organic foods are great for your health is no doubt, but they are too heavy for your pocket. How to resolve this issue?

The company noocity - created by the Brazilian Pedro Monteiro, together with the Portuguese José Ruivo and Samuel Rodrigues - works to develop methods and products that allow easy and quick planting of the most diverse types of vegetables.

The secret is in the technology used in the Growbed it is us growpockets, two of the products already available for sale: inside each of them, there is an intelligent sub-irrigation system. In addition to needing to be watered only every 15 days, the smart garden saves up to 80% of water, compared to a common one, according to the creators.

When feeding the system with water, the resource is taken to the roots through small pots. With this, there is no risk of over-watering the plants, in addition to reducing the water evaporation process, which reduces waste.

THE noocity is already starting to expand its concept beyond homes. In its newest project, the company wants to encourage hotels and restaurants to create in these places some of the food consumed in meals. For schools, the idea is to work on the awareness-raising line, using the smart garden to open up possibilities and reflections on sustainability to younger people.

Endowed with a simple and practical design, the Growbed would allow anyone to have their own organic vegetables at home.
