Bob's restaurant chain tests edible hamburger packaging

With innovation, which is just being tested, an unwanted residue would be automatically eliminated

Bob's Tests Edible Burger Packaging

Fast food is not the healthiest type of food. There are those who say that it is “disgusting”, “greasy” or even that it has “paper taste”. And oddly enough, it's possible that Bob's executives were inspired by some of these comments to bring something new: the edible hamburger packaging.

The idea emerged as a marketing action, aiming to reinforce the “irresistible flavor” of snacks. But it is a good proposal to deal with part of the waste generated in these types of restaurants in a sustainable way.

Edible packages like these are generally made with sugar or rice, unlike the common ones, which contain cellulose – and which are not edible.

Although the video (below) has become famous and gained prominence in international news, the company's press office does not confirm the action and says it only carried out tests with the new packaging.

If you consider the importance to health something relative, at least the environmental impact generated by this eating habit will be a little smaller.
