Ceramic reuse requires creativity

In industries, ceramics are reused for the production of other materials; at home, mosaics are good options

Ceramic is a material present in many environments and common situations of our daily life. From tiles, tiles, pots, vases, to cutting tools for mills, this material is a simple and low-cost alternative for the production of many objects. What is so easy to do, is it also easy to recycle? In this case, no. As it is made with clay and clay, the substance loses mold characteristics after being heated and no longer recovers, once this process has already been carried out. In other words, it is not recyclable in the original sense of the term (to be used again for the same purpose).

So what to do?

While making pottery utensils is easy, recycling isn't that simple. The companies take advantage of the remains of industrial production and give the material another destination (making them become different products from those normally produced by the company in question). But the ideal, in domestic cases, would be the donation or disposal in places dedicated to the delivery of construction materials and debris – which are few.

But there is also another very interesting alternative such as reusing ceramics, for example. If your ceramic pieces are cracked or broken, you can cut them out and use them for decoration, making mosaics on floors, walls and in artwork. It is a way to save material, avoid incorrect disposal and give good use to an item that "no longer fits".
