Can LED bulbs be recycled?

Yes, but first... a little more info

Led lamp

If you purchased one led lamp (light-emitting diode), even if the sustainability precepts hadn't crossed your mind at the time of purchase, you made a more ecologically correct choice. LEDs dramatically reduce energy waste. To give you an idea, an incandescent light bulb converts only 5% of the energy it uses into light. LED, on the other hand, has 40% utilization. In addition, the useful life of such a product is very long: around 50 thousand hours (equivalent to more than 5 and a half years of continuous use).

98% of components can be recycled

Another excellent issue is that 98% of the materials that make up the LED lamp are recyclable and there are no heavy metals, such as mercury, in its production (in the case of fluorescent lamps). They are less aggressive to human eyes and don't take long to be lit again when turned off. An LED luminaire is made up of several lamps and the lamp is made up of several LEDs, which makes it difficult to lose total lamp use with ease.

LED lamps are recyclable, but in Brazil, there is still no market that profits from recycling led lamps. It is recommended to look for the city hall of your city or posts that accept common light bulbs to make the correct destination.
