Recycling company recovers 75 kilos of gold in one year

Portuguese recycler that has processed more than 26 tons of computer equipment recovers noble metals

Do you think it's possible to find 75 kilos of precious metals, such as gold, silver and platinum, in a dump? What seems crazy was possible thanks to the recycling of electronics in Portugal.

ReciSmart, a company specializing in the recycling of these items in the country, recently released a report that indicates that around 13 tons of computer equipment were recovered by the company, with 45 kilos of this total being precious metals.

The accumulated total of the company's first year of activity, between August 2010 and July 2011, sums up to 26,183 kilos of recycled material, which includes around 75 kilos of noble metals.
