"We realized that it's not enough to just inform and summon the population for correct disposal. It is necessary to involve the public power and the private initiative so that, all together, we can start to change the reality of electronic waste disposal in our country", says Fernando Perfect, from the Greenk Movement.

Computers (notebooks and CPUs), printers, cell phones, tablets, monitors, accessories, cables and small electronic equipment will be collected.

  • What is Circular Economy?

E-waste discarded in the collectors and initiatives of the Greenk movement will be collected and transported by companies certified and approved by Green Eletron, an entity founded by Abinee - Brazilian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry to promote the circular economy of electronics in Brazil.

After that, there will be a sorting and everything that is still in conditions of use will be forwarded to the Computer Reconditioning Centers (CRCs), of the project of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications. At CRCs, equipment will be remanufactured and donated to public schools promoting digital inclusion. The products and parts that are out of use will be sent to a certified environmental company, which will dismantle them so that the different materials can be reinserted into the production chain as raw material.
