With a thousand and one uses, sodium bicarbonate is a hand on the wheel for various household solutions, both for cleaning and health and even in cosmetic formulations, avoiding the use of heavy chemical substances in various spheres of daily life. Yeast for bread dough, cakes and biscuits

Baking soda can be used as a yeast, especially in recipes such as cookies and cupcakes, for not having much mass. However, one is not replaced by the other, so be aware of the recipe you are making and the amount required for it.

Chocolate cake with baking soda

Check out a recipe for a very fluffy chocolate cake:

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of oil tea
  • 2 cups of wheat flour tea
  • 2 cups of sugar tea
  • 1 cup of powdered chocolate tea
  • 1 cup of hot water tea
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 coffee spoon of baking soda

To the roof:

  • 1 box of condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered chocolate
  • ½ box of sour cream

Method of preparation:

  1. In an electric mixer, beat the eggs well (white and yolks) until a very fluffy cream.
  2. When it is doubled in size and has formed a well aerated cream, add the oil gradually, beating constantly.
  3. Mix the flour, sugar and chocolate (sifted together). Then, go adding this mixture to the cream, intercalating with hot water.
  4. At the end, add the baking powder and baking soda.
  5. Pour the dough into a greased and floured pan and bake in a medium oven (180º) for approximately 40 minutes (this time varies from oven to oven). Check out the complete preparation mode.

tenderize the meat

Add a spoon of baking soda to the meat seasoning and refrigerate for about two hours. Wash it thoroughly before cooking it.

Adding a teaspoon of baking soda to the bean sauce water will alleviate the gases present in the beans - and should improve your rice and beans experience. Soak the beans in the baking water for at least 8 hours before preparing the food.

Adding a little baking soda to the cooking water will make the cooked vegetables very green, with intense and vivid colors.
