DIY: Cardboard Cat Scratcher

Your couch and your cat can't live in the same space? Reuse cardboard and make a scratcher

DIY: Cardboard Cat Scratcher

If you have a couch and a cat together in the same house, it's very likely that they have "genius mismatch." Although cats love to sharpen their claws on sofas, the latter are somewhat swooning after feline relief. But what is the solution for those who do not want to get rid of either?

You can learn how to make a cat scratcher. A good tip is to do an upcycle, which is nothing more than reusing an old object for a new function. You will only need pieces of a cardboard box, a shoebox lid (also cardboard), non-toxic glue and a stylus.

Materials for making the cardboard cat scratcher

All you have to do is measure the height and width of the inside of the shoe box lid and, from there, cut out identical strips on the pieces of cardboard. When you've cut enough to fill the box completely, just glue them together and into the box itself.

There, your kitten will love it and will give the sofa a break. To better understand the procedure, check out the channel's video Pudge the Cat in full here.
